Leisure activities

While vacationing in Estepona, there are many things to keep one busy and entertained. For one, the Municipal Sports Center has courts for a variety of ball games, such as football, tennis, and handball. There is also a swimming pool. The Municipal Sports Center is open daily, from 9:00 to 23:00 (Monday to Saturday), and 9:00 to 15:00 on Sunday. The La Viña Sports Center offers similar services and facilities. For indoor sports, the covered pavilion in Estepona has a basketball and indoor football court.

Of course, probably the main reason anybody would want to go to Estepona is the beach. Estepona has around 17 lovely beaches stretched over 21 kilometers of sandy, sunny coastline.

For a different type of adventure, the Selwo Aventura is an animal, adventure, and nature park, one of the most prominent in Europe. In Selwo, more than 200 species of animals and more than 2,000 actual specimens abound in accurately reproduced ecosystems - a walk through Selwo is like a walk through their native habitats.

For those wanting to learn to ride a horse, the Escuela de Arte Ecuestre Costa del Sol is a top quality riding school with aims to promote sports riding. The school has enough space to hold about 1,200 people for events such as equestrian shows and competitions.
